Well, well, well

Welcome to my blog that is always too long.

So Guatemala thanks for having us!! But we are officially in South Africa 🙂 after over 30 hours on planes we will landed on the 16th!! So what’s been cooking?? Well God has once again awed me. Can I just say it is a blessing to carry the gospel, like that is an honor, and God I’m sorry for when I haven’t acted like it’s an honor. Can I tell you the Lord delights to answer your prayers, so PLEASE pray the big prayers and have faith that He will move. This past month, one of my friends burst her ear drums and was not able to hear very well for the past few weeks. Durning one of our worship nights God really put on my heart to go pray over her. So me and two others started to pray. I’m gonna be honest I have never done anything like this before because I thought it was weird lol, BUT I knew I needed to stop putting God in a box. As we’ve seen in the Bible He does heal and He delights in doing so. So we started to pray, and every time  we prayed I felt my faith grow. Every time “amen”was said I was so excited for her to say she was healed. I knew God was gonna pull something. So after a few prayers she said she felt something pop. So then I asked everyone to come around and pray over her. After seven times she could hear again. Honestly I wasn’t surprised at all because GOD is GOD. Was I in awe? Yes of course! Was I so thankful? Yeah. Was it the best day of my life? Yes. Seeing more of God is wild. Like He listens to us, and loves to hear us ask Him. Did we have any part in this? No, it’s all God. You see, my unbelief in the power of healings was always the people involved. But it has nothing to do with the people!! Now this doesn’t mean God heals every time but we know that. When we ask for someone to be healed, it’s just requesting on their behalf and asking God to do so. We are not saying He will do it, but rather knowing God can, and asking if He will. There is power in His children praying, so please pray. I’m sorry Lord for putting you in a box, doubting what You can do. I’m sorry for not praying big prayers because it looks weird. Lord thank you. You’re the God of healings, so thank you. Thank you for growing my faith. “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give” (Mathew 10:8)

Guatemala taught me a lot about the heart of God, He’s so kind to us. God is so good. I will be saying that forever, but woah it’s just wild. So powerful. I wish I could let you see the prayers God has so clearly answered, but I know I cannot, so instead I pray that you will pray and see the Lord answer you for yourself.

God is worth every sad goodbye. Because the excitement to see what He will do next is something I don’t wanna miss out on. Life is so short. Love God, serve people & rock on with your bad self (I had to add that touch).

This blog might actually be short because I don’t think I need to say much more besides the Lord answers prayers, better then I pray them. He knows your hearts desires, just have faith that He is God and we cannot understand Him. That’s what makes Him God and us human. Some of the “weirdest” things on earth are the most Godly, because we cannot understand the supernatural. So thanks God for the “weird” I know it’s from you.

Pray for me 🙂

AFRICA HERE I AM !!!

(P. S. Africa is beautiful, and the people here have the cutest accents. My team gets to work in a school with a bunch of kiddos. I’ll keep ya posted, but hopefully they teach me how to dance)

Don’t worry NJ I’ll miss you a lot :’)

His love, nomes

  1. The Lord is building a strong foundation in you. One stone at a time. Keep pushing outside the box and leaning into what He says He can do.

  2. “The Lord answers prayers better than I pray them.” AH! Truth! I needed to hear that today. I’ve recently been reminded that my faith has waivered in a particular area of my life. Despite God’s faithfulness to guide, to provide, to give countless answers, I’d taken the issue back into my own hands and begun to wonder at the unknowns of the future. No more. He has been, is, and will be faithful to answer my faltering prayers far better than I can even think to pray them. Praise the Lord! Thanks for the reminder, Naomi.

  3. Naomi!!

Keep pressing on to the Lord’s work!! So glad to see how He’s been using You. A friend encouraged me yesterday with a verse, explaining how in leadership/ministry, we are not sufficient, but God is the one who uses us (broken people) for His Gospel. We are not sufficient in ourselves for this ministry (that it comes from us), but our sufficiency comes from God who makes us sufficient as ministers of this new Covenant of the Gospel by the Spirit. In other words, this is the Lord’s ministry, not ours. And He will surely use us for His ministry if we allow Him, for we carry this message in “jars of clay” (2 Cor 4; See 2 Cor 3:1-6). Praying for you!
